Welcome

A little about myself

Lucy Carr, born in Stockport, is a recent graduate from the Royal College of Music where she studied recorder with Ashley Solomon, Julien Feltrin and Maria Martinez. During her time at the RCM, she performed in various concerts and masterclasses such as with Walter van Hauwe and Michael Schneider.  Recently she performed as a soloist with the Nonesuch Orchestra at Whitely Village in Surrey and with the Salford Symphony Orchestra. As a founding member of the multi award winning recorder quartet BLOCK4, they perform a variety of concerts at prestigious venues and events such as National Gallery, Queen Elizabeth Hall and the Styriarte Festival in Graz, Austria. Lucy is also a keen teacher of the recorder, flute, clarinet and cello and works for a number of music services in London.
